The QI Roberts history and archaeology club recently enjoyed a field trip to historic Banana, Florida and continued the formal process of an archaeology excavation. Using tools, sifters, markers, and a metal detector acquired through a Putnam County grant, the students continued their ongoing efforts following National Park Service archaeology steps. An area of interest is the site of the former post office at Banana. A sincere thanks to Mr. Michael Weeks for leading this important history program.
