Father Fred Yerkes (1910-1989) served the Melrose community during various periods from 1935 to 1989. His life of service is being celebrated at Trinity Episcopal Church, Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023 at 11am. Come and hear remembrances of Father Yerkes and enjoy some refreshments.

It is interesting to note that Fred’s sister, Cornelia Y. Kafka, flew as a WASP in WWII. She was a pilot in the Ferrying Division of Air Transport Command and qualified in pursuit training for P-51 Mustangs, P-40 Warhawks, P-39 Airacobras, and P-47 Thunderbolts.
